Just Let Go Of The Oars

“We would like you to understand that as you begin to approach your world in terms of vibration rather than action, and in terms of thought rather than in terms of time and space and distance, your ability to close the gap between where you are and where you want to be will be much more efficient.

The Current will carry you… just let go of the oars.

When you are no longer paddling against the Current–when you release your oars and relax into your own natural Well-Being–the Current, which is ever moving in the direction of that which you have become and all that you want, will carry you toward your desires.

The belief that there is something to overcome automatically points you upstream. Understanding that all you desire is easily attainable by you automatically points you downstream. And once you understand that, you are practicing the Art of Allowing your natural Well-Being to flow to you and you to it… and that is the Art of Allowing yourself to be the You that life has caused you to become.”

— Abraham, Esther Hicks
The Astonishing Power of Emotions

To me, as Abraham calls it–the Art of Allowing–is the most powerful thing I have ever learned. I make use of that knowledge every single day now. The Art of Allowing is love to me. It is unconditional love. And in this quote above, it is unconditionally loving ourselves by coming to know–to know in our knower, as my previous pastor used to say.

It is coming into our knowing. It is trust. It is an unshakable belief. It is controlling without any need to control. It is being in charge by virtue of our ultimate choosing. When we love ourselves enough to allow and to flow with All-That-Is, we have no use for oars.

Meant To Be

“How did we come up with the notion
that life is not okay just the way it is,
or that it won’t be okay the way it will be?

Who said that the way life
naturally unfolds is not all right?

The answer is, fear says so.

Everything will be okay
as soon as you are okay with everything.
And that’s the only time everything will be okay.”

— Michael A. Singer

I’ve heard people say, “it was meant to be,” and I’ve also heard them say, “it was not meant to be,” as if we are not in control of our own lives and our own environment. I was thinking a bit about this and wrote down these notes:

If it was not meant to be, it would not have happened. Sometimes we ask why? This is not the best question. A better question would be, what can I learn from this? or what is this here to teach me?

And here’s something even better. It is. And now that it is, it is an opportunity. It is an opportunity to see what we can learn. It is an opportunity to learn how to flow with life. It is an opportunity to change our perspective. It is an opportunity to love and let go of fear. It is an opportunity to allow us to experience more joy.

I Am At Peace

I am at peace with disappointment. I am at peace with other people’s anger. I am at peace with problems. I am at peace with what I do and how I do it. I am at peace with all I do not know. I am at peace with my skills, my uniqueness, my work, my values. I am at peace with what I do and I am at peace with who I am. I am peace. I am love. I am joy.
