Getting Out Of Drama Class

The drama triangle (Victim, Persecutor, Rescuer) is in action all around us and most of us don’t recognize it. Everyone’s favorite position is playing the Victim and moving from Victim To Persecutor and back again. There are many facets to this game of acting out. This unawareness continues the game as long as we remain ignorant of the game and that we are in the game. Once awareness of the game is in place, it is easy enough to stop playing the game by moving to the center and out of those dramatic roles. Habitual patterns are strong, but with awareness comes new strength.

There is no joy in the drama game; however, joy is always available to us any time we choose joy by moving into the peace, love, and harmony that exists outside of the drama triangle. We are the choosers.

Emotions Are Guides Not Dictators

Let your emotions be your guide to your current thinking rather than letting your emotions rule your thinking. Abraham, Esther Hicks has so brilliantly introduced this concept of a powerfully effective and efficient way of navigating our human lives in our everyday world.

Emotions don’t create thinking. Thinking creates emotions. They are created in order for us to recognize that we are either in alignment with our Inner Knowing, or Higher Self, that part of us that is connected to Source Energy, or we are out of alignment. I like to use the view of being in tune or out of tune, in harmony, or in discordance. When a guitar or any other instrument is tuned to the right note, they resonate and become one. Until then, they are in discordance, or out of tune to the desired note. Our emotions are the perfect guide for us to navigate life with ease and clarity.

We have so many thoughts going on all day long, even tens of thousands of them each day. This amount of mental activity is not something that is easy to regulate or control even if it is desired. However, by paying attention to how we are feeling, we can then pay attention to our current thinking that is causing this emotion to come to the surface. As we are feeling bad or not good, we can understand that this guidance is telling us that we are out of tune, out of alignment with our Higher Self or Inner Being. Something is not right. It feels off.

This understanding, then, can help inspire us to see what thoughts are in our minds at the moment. In this case, we are thinking or seeing something that is not to our liking, not what we want, and such. It may be something coming up from our history or something new that is being related to our history. In any case, the bad feeling is our clue that we are experiencing something in our thoughts that we really do not want. Some may say it is negative thinking, but that is too big a category to deal with effectively. It is simply our thoughts about ourselves, another, or about some situation and our bad feeling emotion is simply and clearly letting us know that we are experiencing something we do not really want.

We can attach ourselves to that emotion and then the Law of Attraction will help find more thoughts that match the discordance for as long as we want to do this. Some people might do this for hours, or a day, or far longer. This is how depression is expressed. We are stuck in discordance because we are stuck in a loop of our thinking that is causing us to experience bad-feeling emotions because those thoughts are out of alignment with our Inner Knowing, and the Law of Attraction is bringing us more to match the vibration that we are emitting. It can be like flipping on a dark switch in a well-lit room.

Or, we can be in our awareness of this guidance that we are experiencing something we do not want and then make a decision to consider what it is that we do want. It may be as straightforward and simple as we want to feel better. And, this is the key to feeling better: Find some bit of relief by choosing a thought that feels just a little better. Then again, and again, and then we are soon feeling better and better until we are feeling good again. The fastest way to do this in my experience is to find anything at all to appreciate, then something else to appreciate, and so on. And, the best part of all this is that we are now living deliberately, choosing deliberately, expanding our lives deliberately because we now understand our emotional guidance system and how to make use of it and make use of the power of the Law of Attraction for our benefit rather than our detriment.

Temptation In The Garden

The thought came to me today that the snake in the Garden of Eden that tempted Eve represents our own egos. As we allow our egos to rule our thoughts, consequential emotions, and our behavior, we create a lot of drama. Seriously, a lot of drama. For so many lifetimes. Until each of us decides that it is time to change ourselves and build the life we always wanted in Love, as loved, loving all, and at peace as well as in joy with all of Creation.

Consciously Getting What You Want

“The most satisfying aspect of Deliberate Creation comes from being sensitive to the way the thoughts you are thinking feel, for then it is possible to modify a bad-feeling thought to one that feels better, and to thereby improve your point of attraction before something unwanted manifests. It is far easier–before an unwanted physical manifestation appears–to deliberately change the direction of your thought to something that feels better.

Without making the correlation between your thoughts and feelings and the manifestation that are occurring, you have no conscious control of what happens in your experience.

Deliberate Creation is not about the condition changing and then your finding a better feeling in response to the changed condition. Deliberate Creation is about choosing a thought that feels good when you choose it–which then cause the condition to change.”

— Abraham, Esther Hicks

Awareness + Adversity = Breakthrough

“A man who is a master of patience
is master of everything.”

— George Savile

[Classic post from 9-9-12]

Consider this equation that popped into my head today: Awareness + Adversity = Breakthrough.

I’ve talked several times of late about my desire to and practice in becoming a much more patient person. It is working so well that I get these ‘ah-ha’ moments realizing that I am actually exercising considerable, if not extreme patience in a normally stressful or irritating situation. Tonight there were more than one and it is so interesting to become aware that I am aware of seeing myself being more and more patient.

It also struck me tonight that adversity plays a major role in the process. Without adversity, there would be no need to learn, nothing to change, overcome, or make peace with. So, based on that, once we become aware, we may feel the desire to change or to feel better. Then we will be making changes in our thought process to respond to the adversity rather than to react to it. Without awareness, we would just keep repeating the same old reactionary patterns from the past, or as Einstein said how we think the same thoughts and hope for things to change which was his definition of insanity.

Consequently, I began to actually get excited about the idea of adversity being in the mix and playing a part in my growth to the point of having gratitude for it being there. Again, without the adverse situation, it would not be possible to change, nor would there be a need to.

A breakthrough, of course, is that “ah-ha” moment. It is the realization that we have come through and are actually doing that which we hoped to achieve, which is to purposely and consciously be patient with life as it unfolds which can be the most natural response.

So, to put it together, as I become more aware and meet adverse or irritating situations or things, I have the opportunity to practice my patience, and in so doing achieve breakthroughs that strengthen, encourage, and excite me to continue to grow into more patience. Because I really do believe that he who is a master of patience is a master of everything else.

Bring It! I’m Eager For The Practice! And, So Enjoying The Change.

What A Great Return

“Thousands of candles can be lit
from a single candle, and the life
of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases
by being shared.”

— Buddha

Like the candle, when we brighten someone’s day, cause them to laugh or smile, demonstrate kindness in a myriad of ways we are not less than we were before and yet we have extended our reach to as many as we decide to influence.

Yet, unlike the candle, it seems to me that this candle is not only energized, and improved by the experience of influencing others, it is enhanced and expanded by it.

Now isn’t that an interesting thought…

What a great return on investment!

In My Heart, Am I

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”

— Proverbs 23:7

“The world as we have created it
is a process of our thinking.
It cannot be changed
without changing our thinking.”

— Albert Einstein

“A belief is simply a thought
you keep thinking.”

— Abraham, Esther Hicks

“As you believe in, so do you see out.
As you sow, so you reap.
That’s what that means.
The seeds you plant within yourself
are what you see growing
in the garden around you.
If you do not like the flowers you are growing,
then change your order of seed.
Plant something different,
and then something new will grow.
The inner is the outer.
If the outer is not the way you prefer it to be,
change the inner and the outer will follow.”

— Bashar, Darryl Anka

Just Let Go Of The Oars

“We would like you to understand that as you begin to approach your world in terms of vibration rather than action, and in terms of thought rather than in terms of time and space and distance, your ability to close the gap between where you are and where you want to be will be much more efficient.

The Current will carry you… just let go of the oars.

When you are no longer paddling against the Current–when you release your oars and relax into your own natural Well-Being–the Current, which is ever moving in the direction of that which you have become and all that you want, will carry you toward your desires.

The belief that there is something to overcome automatically points you upstream. Understanding that all you desire is easily attainable by you automatically points you downstream. And once you understand that, you are practicing the Art of Allowing your natural Well-Being to flow to you and you to it… and that is the Art of Allowing yourself to be the You that life has caused you to become.”

— Abraham, Esther Hicks
The Astonishing Power of Emotions

To me, as Abraham calls it–the Art of Allowing–is the most powerful thing I have ever learned. I make use of that knowledge every single day now. The Art of Allowing is love to me. It is unconditional love. And in this quote above, it is unconditionally loving ourselves by coming to know–to know in our knower, as my previous pastor used to say.

It is coming into our knowing. It is trust. It is an unshakable belief. It is controlling without any need to control. It is being in charge by virtue of our ultimate choosing. When we love ourselves enough to allow and to flow with All-That-Is, we have no use for oars.

Taking Charge

“The power you give others
belongs to you.
Take it back
and take yourself
where you would go.”

— Alan Cohen

Here’s where we let go of our power. All of this is some sort of fear. It is often trained beliefs that come from home, religion, or elsewhere. And in all, we are giving our rightful power to them, to it, whatever it may or they may be.

We come cable-ready with our own internal guidance system. When we accept the power that we naturally have rather than delegating it to others or things outside of ourselves, there is no need to fear. We can discern anything within ourselves. We will know that it is in vibrational proximity of our inner knowing, or not. We are the ultimate discerning station, and it is perfectly accurate for us every single time that we hold on to our own power to use for ourselves.

Spread Some Joy Today–as you find it within yourself.

Freedom, Growth, Joy

“You were all born
with a triad of intentions pulsing within you:
freedom, growth, and joy.

Freedom is the basis of that which you are
because everything that comes to you
comes in response to the thoughts that you think–
and no one has control over
the thoughts that you think other than you.

When joy is your dominant quest
so that you gently train your thoughts into alignment
with who-you-really-are, all resistance subsides,
and you then allow the expansion or growth
that your life experience has inspired within you.”
